While everyone’s been talking about the plot, cast and final outcome of Lost, one of the most interesting and powerful things about the show (to me, at least) has been the soundtrack. Michael Giacchino (who also composed the soundtracks to Fringe and Alias, as well as countless awesome movies like Up and Cloverfield) came up with some crazy soundscapes for this show. The instrumentations he put together provided such a powerful level of drama and suspense to every episode (the cliffhanger sweep and timpani hit, for example), so its pretty rad to hear what can be pulled off with a cello, a harp and assorted pieces of airplane wreckage.
