I’m gonna be in a friends wedding next month, so had to order a matching suit from Mens Wearhouse. Dropped $300 bucks into it (I know, not a lot for a suit, but thats a good chunk of change for a suit I probably won’t wear again) and got this via fedex today. The pictures don’t do it justice, it was literally balled up and shoved into the box (no plastic or anything), and when i pulled it out it was covered with cardboard, scuff marks and someones hair (eww).
Theres a reason why videos of people unboxing gadgets is such a popular meme. Even if the product is mundane, the packaging can go a long way in creating a more compelling experience. In this case, in addition to the total lack of brand experience, I was left with a product in crappy condition. Next time, I’m convincing my friends to try indochino.
