Since there was still smoke coming from the car, the FDNY had to open the hood to douse the engine. Unfortunately, this required smashing a window and using a crowbar to rip out the grill and part of the bumper from the car. Literally 10 seconds after they’d done all this damage, the frantic owner showed up.
